Hi Kevin,
I presume you have all mine - or should I send you a list? Also how was the
SAIP? Just couldn't afford to go this time. See you next week.
Kind regards
Case

We've been posting moon-watching charts each month on our website.
We're designing an improved version of the HartRAO planisphere-for-kids
(costs about R3 to
print) - if anyone using this has any requests, let me know asap. The
new version will include
constellations, and we're looking at a similar but more up-market
version (colour, no assembly required)
also.

Please visit the downloads page on www.astronomy2009.org.za
for a funky new IYA2009 poster for
South Africa (thanks to the highly talented Ms Davis at the SAAO). This
poster looks nice enough to put up on your bulletin boards so please do.
Don't forget to get your astronomy resources in by tomorrow if you
haven't already.
Thank you and regards

We've got the SKA posters on display here - three very nice long ones,
covering (1) Solar System
(latest version, with dwarf planets), (2) Your Place in the Universe,
and (3) Electromagnetic Spectrum.
They're on view at www.ska.ac.za.
We've also had the one that SAAO produced years ago on SA starlore.
People would like to buy these, but at the moment they're only available
as give-aways to schools
(not sure if the SAAO one is still available). They are all very nice,
useful for the info on them,
and great because they are made-in-SA.
If people are producing resources like these, it would be really great
if they could work out a
realistic cost price for them, negotiate with the funders that it's ok
to re-sell them, and make
them available to retail outlets like ourselves. This would also avoid
the problem we have of
having to tell people that the posters are not available, which is no
fun for the staff.
Thanks

Dear Claire,
The star-lore and solar system posters are available at the SAAO at a cost
of R30 each. We could probably order large stocks of the star-lore which
will reduce the cost even lower. The solar poster is copyright, so we
cannot reduce the price, but SAASTA's posters are superb and they are much
cheaper. We paid R15 each which included the courier cost.
We can send you some posters, but the cost of transport is the main
contributer to the final poster cost. We will be at TechnoX as well as
Science Unlimited, so we can always bring you some posters?
Let me know the next step.

Dear Sir
Kevin Govender
We are an Argentina entity that develops and manufactures planetary
projection equipment for the diffusion and teaching of astronomy.
I try to contact peoples and entities that could be interested in
portable planetariums.
These projectors, have demonstrated to be an educational and cultural
tool of an immense utility for any private or state entity, national or
international, as initiative of educational nature, and also as a
lucrative business related with schools, museums and thematic parks, As
it has been confirmed already in almost everywhere.
This year we have launch to the market a new and advanced portable
planetary projector of excellent benefits at a low cost for the national
and international market. Also, inflatables domes and several
accessories. We invite you to visit our website.

Appreciating you attention, we are at your disposal for any questions.
Sincerely
Daniel Scocco
