[AstroNet] Call for Proposals : Galileoscopes

Hello,

The IYA2009 invites countries, organizations and individuals to submit 
proposals for free Galileoscopes. This call is solely intended for 
countries, organizations or individuals who were not able to afford 
their own Galileoscopes. A committee, led by the IYA2009 Developing 
Astronomy Globally cornerstone project, has the task of deciding on and 
implementing the distribution of these Galileoscopes.

Please note:

1) The deadline for applications is 10 July 2009

2) Galileoscopes are not guaranteed to every applicant - applications 
will undergo a selection process.

3) Applications should be sent to the Developing Astronomy Globally 
cornerstone project via country Single Points of Contact (SPoC's). A 
list of country SPoC's can be found on the IYA2009 website 
www.astronomy2009.org/organisation/nodes/national/
