SIDEWALK ASTRONOMY AT MAKHADO CROSSING (Saturday 20th Feb)

The Soutpansberg Astronomy Club will host two astronomy evenings during February.

The Club's first astronomy evening was held on Saturday the 13th of February, one day prior to New Moon and coincided with dark skies. The second one will be held on Sunday the 21st of February during First Quarter Moon to observe the occultation of the Seven Sisters (M45) by the Moon. Great photo opportunities.

Everyone is invited to attend from 19:00 onwards. Once again, bring some refreshments and don’t leave your camera and binoculars behind. Those of you with Canon DSLR’s are welcome to utilise the telescope attachment and try your hand at some astrophotography. Otherwise any other camera make can also be piggy-backed on one of the telescopes.

Contact Kos on 079 148 4934 or via email at elephantcastle at lantic.net for further information.
