[AstroNet] MeerKAT-SKA Schools Competition

The Department of Science and Technology has announced a special competition for pupils between grades 8 and 11, in connection with the MeerKAT project. The MeerKAT-SKA Schools Competition is intended to boost interest among youngsters in the SKA bid. 

           

The department has distributed 100 000 brochures about SKA to inform pupils about the significance of hosting the radio telescope. Pupils are required to answer five questions about the SKA project and the answers are in the brochure.

The closing date for the competition is October 31.
