[AstroNet] Astronomy for Development Workshop

Hi all 
This is a quick email to bring your attention to the first ever workshop of stakeholders for the International Astronomical Union's Office of Astronomy for Development (www.astronomyfordevelopment.org).

The purpose of this workshop (held from 12 to 14 December 2011) is to brainstorm ways to realise the vision of "Astronomy for a Better World" - basically, how can astronomy be used as a tool for development!
