I saw it!  Was on the Greyhound to E Cape Friday night, bus broke down
somewhere in the middle of nowhere in the Free State, so we were all
moving luggage from one bus to another at 3:30am . . . I stepped out of
the headlights over to the side of the road and . . . tail went at least
half-way up the sky.  It was absolutely stunning.  

I spent the next ten hours squashed up next to a guy who took up 1.8
seats, but it was worth it for that comet, honestly!

The other bus passengers thought I was a bit strange though . . .
