[AstroNet] Soutpansberg Astronomy Club: Astronomy evening Saturday 19th May 2012

[Kos Coronaios]

Hi everyone, 

Saturday the 19th May promises to be jam packed with activities at Portion 72 Rondebosch in Louis Trichardt.  During the day Rondebosch Riding School will host an open day followed by the Soutpansberg Astronomy Club's monthly observation evening.  A 10 inch telescope with a solar filter will be available to give the Riding School visitors a look at the Sun and hopefully a few sunspots, while after sunset some of the objects that will be projected on a big screen will include The Tarantula Nebula (NGC 2070), Eta Carinae (NGC 3372), Omega Centauri (NGC 5139), as well as the planet Saturn.
