Hi everyone,
The Soutpansberg Astronomy Club will have their monthly observation evening on Saturday 15th September from sunset onwards. With no interference from the Moon (New Moon was on the 16th), it will be an ideal time to look at some of the deepsky objects that can be seen. Some of these are the famous planetary nebulae, M27 and M57, the Dumbbell and Ring nebulae, as well as the closest planetary to us known as the Helix nebula (NGC 7293), only 300 light years distant. Mars and Saturn will also be viewed before disappearing below the horison. Club get-together are open to the public and everyone is welcome. Contact Kos Coronaios at elephantcastle at lantic.net or at 079 148 4934 for more information.

Kind regards,

Kos
