In 1999, Stephen Hawking gave Pik Botha (who was visiting Hawking in
Cambridge) the following message, to hand to him.

President Mandela:
"President Mandela is someone I really admire.
I hope to be able to meet him.
I'm glad to have met you [Pik Botha].
I admire the way that the government of which you were a part, managed
to find a peaceable way out of a situation that seemed doomed to end in
disaster.
It was one of the great achievements of the century."

The dream of Hawking meeting Mandela was realized.

The mind of Stephen Hawking - the world's most famous scientist -
tackles in-depth questions in the interview, such as life occurring
elsewhere in the Universe and the holy grail question:
Does Stephen Hawking believe in Life after Death?
