Greetings to all science, art, and life enthusiasts!
During the celebration of the International year of astronomy 2009, we are
pleased to share with all of you the most recent and advanced in the space
art.
This pictorial proposal combines art and science and extends our landscape
to the infinite, to the universe, a landscape common to all inhabitants in
our planet.
Curiously, this art work comes to life in a country unacquainted with the
space culture, in a small city called Dosquebradas, a place without
museums, a place with limited possibilities to share this art with the
public.
Despite that, making use of the technological development, as a result of
the space culture and the advantages brought by the internet today, it is
possible to share with all of you the first space art website in Colombia,
the work from the artist Camilo del Mar: www.camilodelmar.com
All the art and science enthusiasts are invited to see, promote, support
this proposal, and to celebrate together this astronomy and space culture
global festivity.
Everyone is invited to see and share the attached information with friends
in order to promote this proposal in their native languages, in the
official IYA 2009 pages, and in the websites for scientific, cultural, or
academic institutions.
Likewise, it is greatly appreciated if you know people involved in arts
such as curators, collectors, art gallery owners, or museums that can
sponsor our interest in promoting the space culture.
Economic support is also required from enthusiasts and visionaries that
believe in this proposal to allow us to continue with the investigation
and diffusion of this type of work.
We expect your support to take this work to your country either physically
or using digital means to diffuse this material.  Likewise, if you want to
know more about this research and pictorial proposal, it is possible to
share with your community the celebrations and meetings specialized in the
conference “The human being, star dust particle” aesthetics of the micro
and macro.
Hoping that you greatly enjoy this sample of space art, we thank your
cooperation in favor of projecting and reinforcing this new proposal.
