Hi there,

The link to the SAAO press release re: Sunday night's events can be 
found at on the SAAO website www.saao.ac.za under 'Latest News'.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone concerned who put their
efforts into nailing the origin
of one of the most spectacular sky events SA has ever seen and helping
bring our conclusions to the
public. Thank you in particular to Andrew for identifying the thing (!),
Claire for all of her coordination/fact-finding
efforts and Oleg and Mitchell Krog for the fantastic pictures (they
really sold the story - I hope they have submitted
to Astronomy Picture of the Day??). And of course all the callers,
without which we would never have been
able to identify the flightpath and, therefore, the mission.

Team-detective work paid off, well done!
