[AstroNet] Star Walks

[Kechil Kirkham]

The Cape Centre of the Astronomical Society of Southern Africa is again
hosting the popular Star Walks in Kirstenbosch Gardens. After a divine
guided walk through night scented air to the hoot of owls, you will be
enchanted by the richness of a darker sky. Astronomers and their telescopes
will greet you at the end of your walk to point out the special delights of
the moment. 

 

Star Walks

Dates: Fridays 23 Oct, 30 Oct, 6 Nov, 13 Nov.

Starting at 19:30 at the main (lower) entrance of Kirstenbosh National
Botanical Gardens.

Cost: R30 per adult, pensioners and children R10.

PLEASE CONFIRM THE EVENT IS ON BY PHONING THE STARLINE  ON THE DAY
0881311001 In case of bad weather, there will be an additional Star Walk on
20 Nov.

 

On 23rd Oct the SAAO will be running a special Galilean Night event at
Kirstenbosch Gardens with the Cape Centre. This means that even if the
weather is cloudy, the talk and walk will go ahead.
