[AstroNet] Soutpansberg Astronomy Club: Stargazing evening 22nd Feb 2014

Hi all,

Weather permitting the Soutpansberg Astronomy Club in Louis Trichardt will hold their  stargazing evening on Saturday 22nd February from sunset onwards.  The Club's stargazing evenings are open to the general public and everyone is welcome.  The last quarter Moon rises shortly after midnight giving us ample time for dark skies. The planet Jupiter was at opposition early in January and is still well positioned for observing.  Some of the targets for the evening will be The Great Nebula in Orion (M42), a supernova remnant, The Crab Nebula (M1), NGC 2070, the Tarantula Nebula, amongst many others.
