[AstroNet] Astronomy Town Hall meeting

Greetings everyone,
I have been asked to coordinate a discussion this weekend sunday on "Astronomy Outreach" at a meeting convened by NRf. The idea is to discuss the future of outreach activities in light of activities of the Astronomy desk etc. With this email I am requesting you to send me suggestions and ideas on what we should discuss at the meeting. We allocated 30minutes to do all of this, but it would be nice if your ideas and concerns are discussed.

I think, the first things is to take stock of what is happening in the country with regard to astronomy outreach. My limited knowledge tells me that the following groups are highly active:
   - SAAO in the western and Northern Cape
   - HARTRAO in Gauteng
   - Bloemfontein group
   - Wits planetarium
   - SAASTA
   - various science centres around the country.

Then, we need to discuss what are the challenges and future plans.
