The 12th annual ScopeX event on July 21st is almost upon us! 

What makes these events successful is your engagement. We hope you will visit and encourage others to do so too. 

 

How you can help

*	Visit www.scopex.co.za to see the line-up this year; you will note an interesting new direction regarding the talks.

*	Download the flyers & posters from the website front page, and distribute them to raise awareness. 

*	If you are at all able to assist, please offer your services to Lerika Cross (see contact details on the website).

*	If you have something to show off, bring it along – posters, astrophotos, home made & commercial telescopes – anything related to astronomy. 

 

Notes for exhibitors

*	Set-up of stands will be allowed on Friday – let us know if you would want to make use of this opportunity.

*	All exhibitors must be set up by 9am on 21 July.  The big doors will close at 9am , after which entrance fees will apply. 

*	A ScopeX stamp on the hand can be obtained from the Help Desk, allowing free re-entry if you need to go out for a while.

*	Register your exhibit at the Help Desk by 10 am, to be eligible for judging of ATM and Astrophoto  awards(see rules on the website).

*	Registered exhibitors and helpers may obtain Food tickets from the Help Desk, for to use at the Food Tent .

*	Work-in-progress is just as important as finished items: people like to see how things are made or done.

*	Even if you have exhibited at a previous event, there will always be new visitors who have not seen it before, and those who would appreciate being able to see it again.
